4 Night Walking Safari from ZAR17400

Explore the African wilderness on foot in the care of two highly experienced, armed trails rangers. Immerse your senses in the little things, learning about plants, spoor, tracking and the tastes, sights and sounds of the wilderness up close.

Each evening you will be able to return to the comforts of camp built in the tradition of an 18th century naturalist’s retreat of polished brass, silverware, leather and antiques evocative of a golden era.


Isibindi Plains Camp - 2 nights

Situated in the Southern reaches of the world famous Kruger National park it is an ideal setting for wilderness walking amongst Africa's "Big 5". Feel like the true African pioneer as you become immersed in an area rich in the diversity of both fauna and flora.


Rhino Post Safari Lodge - 2 nights

The beauty of this Savanah wilderness can be soaked up as you sit back and unwind, resting weary bodies in luxury as you continue to be entranced by the African Bush. Safari drives are now the order of the day, a great way to get up close and personal with the big cats that call this wilderness home.

Getting Here

Daily flights ex Johannesburg & Cape Town to Skukuza airport, in the Kruger, with Airlink. 30 min road transfer directly to lodge.

Travel Itinerary

Days 1-3 Isibindi Plains Camp

Spend 2 nights at Plains tented camp. All walking trails are enjoyed in the early morning and late afternoon to avoid the midday heat, with the average duration of the morning walk being between 3 and 4 hours. The guide will structure the trail taking into account your fitness level or special request. Relax during the heat of the day enjoying a book or the plunge pool overlooking the plain. The afternoon activity is a short drive after which you will depart on foot again for your trail.

       

Days 3-5 Rhino Post Safari Lodge

A short transfer will have you at Rhino Post Safari Lodge for your 2 nights traditional safari experience. Once you have settled in join us in the lounge, overlooking the water hole to enjoy a scrumptious high tea before departing for an afternoon/evening game drive. Your game drive returns to the lodge in time for you to freshen up and enjoy a drink before dinner on the deck or in the dining room as you recount the day’s events. Guests depart on a morning drive just after sunrise and upon return to Rhino Post Safari Lodge, enjoy a delicious brunch before spending the heat of the day within camp, enjoying the pool and relaxing in your bush suite.
